Viola Vi Touzin
Vi (Viola) Touzin, formerly of Cohoes, NY, passed away on April 21, 2017, in Hallandale, FL, with Arthur, her husband of 67 years, and her daughter, Dawn, by her side.
Born in Waterford, NY, to Walter and Agnes (Godaz) Dziarczak, she grew up in Cohoes. Overcoming illness as a child, she went on to graduate from Cohoes High School, class of '46, and to march many a mile as a member of the PNA Drum and Bugle Corps and dance many a polka at St. Michael's Pavilion, where she met Arthur, her husband of 67 years. Vi worked in data processing when computers were new, and retired after many years of professional life, moving to a warmer climate and near the ocean. She enjoyed almost 30 years there. Most Sunday mornings she listened to Polka Spotlight and loved to hear her favorite Krokowiak. Her love and sense of humor will be missed by many.
Vi loved and enjoyed her family deeply. She is survived by her husband, Arthur, her daughter, Dawn, and her beloved niece, Christine Oliksowycz and her family. She especially delighted in her great-grand-niece, Maddie. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. The youngest of five, she was predeceased by her sisters Jane Guzy and Alice Riberdy, and her brothers, John Dziark and Leo Dziarczak.
