Amy Katherine Duich Amy Katherine Duich ,52, of Tamarac, FL daughter of the late John and Margaret (Webber) Duich passed away after a courageous battle with Cancer on April 22,2017. Amy was an exceptional fresh water angler who enjoyed the outdoors and nature in all forms.( catch and release) . She enjoyed feeding the local birds and ducks and chasing away the squirrels from her prized feeders. She was very proud of her flower garden, especially her rose bushes. Amy was a sports enthusiast. She loved her international soccer teams, frequently having her brother Jim get her favorite soccer teams jerseys when he was on business trips in Europe. She enjoyed attending her annual Dolphin /Patriots game with her brother Jim and the rivalry between the two teams. . She attended this year’s Masters golf tournament with her brother Jim and all the excitement of the tournament. She volunteered yearly to help clean up at the local veterans park . She attended the color run and 5K in the Bahamas with her good friends from American Express including best buddies Sue and Sharon. Amy was a 1982 graduate from Barrington H.S. in Illinois where she excelled in four sports. . Amy then graduated from the University of FL. It wasn't long before she found her amazing career at American Express. It was there that Amy met one of her best Friends and colleagues Linda Woodruff. Linda's sudden passing in January 2014 along with the passing of her favorite Aunt in the same yr. was profoundly felt by Amy. She sincerely missed her yearly adventure with Linda of acting as marshals at the annual Doral golf tournament and her treasured travel with Linda especially their cruise through Europe. Her generosity was well known to all highlighted by her donation of a beautiful park bench in honor of her favorite Aunt and Uncle ( Tony and Marguerite Duich) proudly displayed at Buhl park in Hermitage PA. Amy leaves behind her heartbroken family, Friends and colleagues Amy the youngest of seven leaves behind her brother Jack and Jessie Duich of FL, Jim and Cynthia Duich of MA, Sally Ortleib of IL, Jan Duich of TX , Tracie Duich of FL and Steve Duich of TX. Aunt to John and Steve Ortleib of IL, Maggie Duich of MA, and Samantha Duich of FL. Amy was beloved by many Aunts, Uncles and cousins. There will be a celebration of life at 1pm on Saturday May the 6th St. Mary Magdalene Episcopal Church 1400 Riverside Drive, Coral Springs Fla. 33071 In lieu of flowers donation ‘s donations made be made to the Everglades National Park .
