Susan Lipske was born on November 12th 1949 and passed away April 4th, 2018 from cancer. She was the daughter of Omar C. and Phyllis Spencer. She was pre deceased by her sister Laurie Spencer Miller and her daughter Wendi Williamson Mendoza and is survived by her husband William Lipske, daughter Kimberly Williamson Tufano, Son in law Joseph Tufano, grandchildren- Gabrielle Tufano, Thomas Tufano, Michael Mendoza, and Toni Mendoza.
Susie was born in Portland, Oregon and relocated to Ft. Lauderdale in the 1960's. She was a graduate of Plantation High School. She was a devoted mother to her two daughters and was involved in their many activities as a coach or mentor.
She loved to travel and began, while a child, with her family traveling throughout Europe and many times across the United States.
As an athlete she was in a class by herself and she loved the thrill of competition. She mastered two major sports- tennis and golf, and won club and city championships in both. She shared her passion in the game of golf with her daughter Kimberly and enjoyed playing with her in various tournaments.
For a time she was a business owner with her sister. Their tea room, Enchanted April, was an opportunity for them to work together to create a beautiful place to enjoy a spot of tea and a scone.
She loved her grandchildren. She enjoyed watching them play their various sports and hearing about what they were doing in their lives. She will be missed by many including her two best friends, Sharon Dones and Joy Pavone.
A Memorial Service is planned for Saturday, April 21, 2018 at the Broward Burial & Cremation Center located at 1801 E. Oakland Park Blvd., Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33306 from 1 PM to 4 PM.
